Trunojoyo University is the only university on the island of Madura. This state university has various academic facilities. This university has B accreditation with a total of 3425 students, facilitated by 447 lecturers with a ratio of 1:7. Trunojoyo University Madura is located 5 kilometers from the Kamal Harbor of Madura and 15 km from Bangkalan. The university which is currently led by Dr. Drs. Ec. H. Moh. Sharif, M.Si. It has the status of a State University Working Unit of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Trunojoyo University Madura made a visit to the UGM Science Techno Park in order to benchmark in order to be able to transfer technology.
UGM Science Techno Park, which is under the auspices of the Directorate of Business Development and Incubation, Universitas Gadjah Mada has been carrying out the role of TTO (Technology Transfer Office) for approximately 7 years. The role of the TTO must be supported by various parties including the Directorate of Research (Intellectual Property Center), the Integrated Research and Testing Laboratory (LPPT), incubation satellites in various faculties, the Directorate of Alumni Cooperation and International Affairs (Domestic Cooperation), and work units. others to maximize downstream optimization in the university environment.
UGM STP manages downstream flexibly after UGM obtains PTN-BH status. Trunojoyo Madura University will gain flexibility in managing downstream innovation at the university level if it can gradually process its minimal status as a BLU (Public Service Agency). The change in status can affect the acceleration of the downstream innovation process, including the incentive mechanism for protecting intellectual property on behalf of the university to the mechanism for granting royalties on licenses for inventors.
