
On 18 March 2025, Dr Karlisa Priandana, S.T., M.Eng., Acting Director of Talent Development, Directorate General of Science and Technology, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, paid a visit to Science Techno Park Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Director of Talent Development, Director General of Research and Technology, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, visited Science Techno Park Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Dr Karlisa’s visit to UGM is part of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology’s efforts to conduct a site visit to the UGM Science Techno Park location and hear directly from the UGM Science Techno Park manager about the progress of innovation turnover at Universitas Gadjah Mada.
Dr Karlisa’s group was received by the STP UGM team led by Dr Hargo Utomo, M.B.A., along with Arief Sudarsono as Head of Sub-Directorate of Science and Technology Park. On this occasion, Dr Hargo gave an explanation of the innovations and products produced by UGM STP. The group also had the opportunity to see directly the production facilities at UGM STP and discuss the production process of UGM research and innovation.
Dr Karlisa stated that the culture and approach applied at STP UGM is very good and has the potential to get more support from the Government, and hopes that the innovative products from UGM can provide wider benefits to society with full support from the government. He believes that this moment can bring benefits to both parties, and shows his commitment to continue to support the development of innovation and research in Indonesia. With full support from the government, it is expected that the innovation products from UGM can provide wider benefits to society.
On this occasion, Dr Karlisa also said that the government will continue to support the development of innovation and research in Indonesia. She hoped that the cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology and UGM can be an example for other cooperation in developing innovation and turning research results into useful products.
