Bogor, 24th October 2024 – Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) reaffirms its commitment to empowering Indonesian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through collaboration with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs. Mikro Mandiri 2024 Business Mentorship Program enhances competitiveness, strengthens business networks, and accelerates MSME growth across sectors.
Launched in April 2024, the program attracted 2,578 MSMEs from various sectors, including culinary, fashion, creative economy, home decor, agriculture, plantation, fisheries, and tourism. Sixty selected MSMEs from Bogor and surrounding areas participated, along with 13 marketing and financing partners.
On the first day, participants received intensive training on business development strategies, marketing, and financing. They presented their businesses to stakeholders, accessing partnerships, market networks, and broader financial support.
According to Yulius, during a Jakarta press conference, this program aims to enhance managerial, marketing, production, and financial skills among micro-business owners. It provides intensive mentorship, connecting businesses with partners and stakeholders.
Through this initiative, UGM and the Ministry envision establishing a solid foundation for Indonesian MSMEs to advance, grow, and contribute significantly to the national economy.
