Sentosa Fishery’s Innovative Solution. Representing Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Sentosa Fishery presented an innovative solution addressing limited fish market access in Yogyakarta. Their approach transformed rejected fish (including Papuan tuna) into high-value products: smoked fish oil utilizing coconut shell waste, fish abon, and smoked fish. This eco-friendly process features low carbon emissions, efficiency, and rapid production. Having trained 1,000 individuals, 20 communities, and 10 cities across Indonesia, Sentosa Fishery pioneered Yogyakarta’s smoked fish innovation and demonstrated a potential market worth Rp87 billion.
