Yogyakarta, February 4, 2025 – The Pertamuda team visited the Business Development Directorate of Universitas Gadjah Mada to conduct monitoring and evaluation (monev) to the Metaseaco Team, a technology-based startup that develops an innovative product called Frisher-Tech. Metaseaco Team itself is one of the startups assisted by Innovative Academy Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) which successfully won a funding grant from the Pertamuda Seed & Scale 2024 program. This visit aims to monitor the progress of the program and provide constructive input for the progress of the startup.
During the visit, the Pertamuda team conducted a thorough evaluation of the program being run by the Metaseaco Team. Their flagship product, Frisher-Tech, is a technological solution designed to increase efficiency and productivity in the fisheries sector. Through Frisher-Tech, the Metaseaco Team seeks to have a positive impact on society, especially business actors in the fisheries sector.
In implementing the funding program from Pertamuda, Team Metaseaco received incubation assistance from Innovative Academy UGM in collaboration with PT Gama Inovasi Berdikari. This assistance aims to strengthen the business and technical capacity of the startup, so that it can grow sustainably and have a wider impact.
In the monev session, the Pertamuda team provided various valuable insights and recommendations for PT Metaseaco. These insights included product development strategies, market expansion, and team capacity building. In response to this, PT Metaseaco representatives expressed their commitment to immediately follow up on the input from the Pertamuda team to ensure that the program can further develop and achieve the expected success.
This monev visit is a clear evidence of Pertamuda and Innovative Academy UGM’s support in encouraging the growth of technology-based startups in Indonesia. With strong collaboration between various parties, it is expected that the Metaseaco Team can continue to grow and become one of the successful examples of Indonesian startups that are able to compete at the global level.
