Digital products enterprise (startup) made by Innovative Academy participated in the career expo event on “Integrated UGM Career Days 2016” organized by the Directorate of Partnership, Alumni and International Affairs of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) on August 10 and 11, 2016 at Graha Sabha Pramana UGM. Startup which has been running about 1-2 years open for internship opportunities for active students and fresh graduates with a 3-month period, which began in September 2016.
Internship Program in Startup Innovative Academy is a collaboration between the Directorate of Business Development and Incubation UGM with PT. Gama Innovation Berdikari (GIB) which aims to introduce the Innovative Academy program and of course the entrepreneur startup incorporated therein to the public. Internship Program is a learning tool for participants to learn how to build and to know the working culture at startup. In addition, the Internship Program can be used as a venue for the startup Innovative Academy to get talent who has interest in a career at startup.
Iwak, Pasienia and Wemary are three startups Innovative Academy who opened the internship opportunity.
Iwak is a community empowerment program through the cultivation of freshwater fish. Iwak provide a platform that connects investors with a family of fish farmers.
Pasienia is a social media application that connects between the patients and families of patients with other patients who have a common chronic disease in order to share and help.
Wemary is a wedding platform online via live streaming. Wemary assists the user in delivering gifts to the bride
The number of visitors who attended the Innovative Academy booth relatively much for startup level, even a few visitors with a buoyant spirit, brings CV and then applies to the startup team. Participants recorded, reaching 250 people who came from various universities, including UGM, UNPAD, UNSOED, UNY, UII, AMIKOM, UMY and ISI.
Means facilitated by the Directorate of Business Development and Incubation UGM in encouraging Innovative Academy to do internship program is the promotion through banners and leaflets mounted on Innovative Academy booth. Later, the location which will become the office for internship participants located in Entrepreneur Development Service (EDS) Building on Jl. Asem Kranji Blok K-7, Sekip, Yogyakarta.
