Produk Gama Indigo

Gama Indigo is a natural dye powder (tannin) from industrial waste (sawdust) of Merbau wood which is abundant in Jayapura and has not been utilized optimally. Natural dyes from Merbau wood waste that produce a variety of beautiful colors on textiles and have good dyeing quality tests. The results of the application of merbau wood waste extract are useful for fabric dyeing. There are 3 types of natural dyes that are widely used in textiles, namely substantial dyes, vessel dyes (vat dyes), and mordan dyes. Natural dyes from Merbau wood (Intsia bijuga or Intsia plembanica) are included in the type of mordan dyes. The process of taking natural dyes is carried out by solid-liquid extraction with water solvents. Water is chosen as a solvent because it has good solvent properties, is cheap, and is easy to obtain, and is environmentally friendly.
