CeraSpon is a medical device that functions to help stop bleeding, especially in the field of dentistry. CeraSpon is a sponge containing calcium in the form of carbonate hydroxyapatite type B. The sponge has a three-dimensional porosity structure, is very specific, and matches the calcium content that is similar to human bone tissue. Ceraspon consists of a gelatin structure enriched with carbonate apatite and has an ideal structure to adapt to the bleeding site. CeraSpon has the following characteristics: it is water-soluble, can be absorbed by the body, has a porous structure like a sponge, is white, non-elastic, soft, non-toxic, non-antigenic, can be cut and folded as needed, and is made from pure bovine gelatin with calcium fortification to accelerate the process of stopping bleeding. CeraSpon is used as a wound dressing, hemostatic (stops bleeding), triggers wound healing and tissue repair, drug carriers, and active molecules/growth factors. Ceraspon is also the first hemostasis sponge that has been halal certified.
