The Directorate of Business Development and Incubation (DIT PUI) is a central office to manage and accelerate the commercial process. DIT PUI has the main role to upgrade the holding company’s productivity and incubate research to be monetized. DIT PUI is organized by the director and underled of Vice-Rector of Partnership and Alumnae. DIT PUI contributes to the university’s achievement and productivity by:
(1) Downstreaming academic research product (Internally and Academically-Driven);
(2) Downstreaming collaborative research product with the partnership to meet industrial demand (Externally and Industrially-Driven);
(3) Downstreaming collaborative concept of community services and business development (Community development-driven).
University is running some kind of business partnership. DIT PUI divides into joint venture partnership, operational partnership, license, and another partnership. DIT PUI focus on flagship research priority which are, (1) Medical; (2) Manufacture, Engineering, Information Technology, and Communication; (3) Renewable Energy; (4) Integrated agriculture; (5) Heritage, Art, and Culture Sustainability Management (HACSM).
In the business development aspect, DIT PUI manages some regulations : (1) designing business development activities to support “Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi”; (2) coordinating economy activities of holding and subsidiary companies; (3) controlling economy activities and facilitating students incubation; and (4) maintaining business as accountable, sustainable inline to university’s responsibility.
DIT PUI also develops system and incubation model based on university research by organizing a mutual partnership with a strategic partner. Based on these collaborations, DIT PUI supports the technopreneur capability of students and scientists to build strong economic independence. In order to complete that mission, Dit PUI delivers innovative research to stakeholders and the government.
