General Information
The Tenant Grant is a funding program from the Directorate of Business Development and Incubation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for downstream development on campus. Through the PRIME STeP program, the Tenant Grant program builds new awareness about the importance of adopting and disseminating (diffusion) campus-based innovation results among lecturers-researchers, industry partners, and the community must be taken to accelerate the downstream innovation process.
Purpose
- Providing funding support for tenants to accelerate the development of UGM innovation with an acceleration scheme according to the needs of innovation products.
- Assisting efforts to increase the business value of tenants through cooperation in utilizing innovations produced by UGM.
- Providing incentives for tenants to participate in grant programs organized by the Government in order to support the development and downstream of innovation products produced by UGM, such as the Kedaireka Matching Fund Program, the Productive Innovation Research Program or other similar programs.
Scope
- Funding facilitation is given to prospective proposers who are tenants of UGM STP
- Tenants propose UGM innovations that are ready and seen as potential for commercialization, which is shown by the existence of a cooperation agreement
between UGM and tenants in the development and downstream of innovation. - Tenants show the ability to support the development and downstream of UGM innovation through tenant commitment in allocating
resources owned by filling out the ability form. - Funding facilitation is given to tenants to support/provide incentives for the implementation of:
- development and/or downstream of innovation for the purpose of accelerating to the commercialization stage or tenant business development;
- government grant programs for the acceleration of development and/or downstream innovation; and
- other activities that are considered in line with UGM’s efforts to develop and/or downstream innovation.
- Funding will be given to tenants who carry out innovation development and downstream activities for 5 (five) priority areas of UGM, namely: Health, Agro, Renewable Energy, Manufacturing, Engineering, Information and Communication Technology (MRTIK) and Heritage, Art, and Culture Sustainability
Management.
Requirements for Submitting a Proposal
General Requirements
- Participants are UGM STP tenants. Participants have a cooperation agreement between UGM and tenants in the development and downstream of UGM innovations.
- The proposals submitted have never been or are not being submitted for other funding schemes.
- Tenants involve at least 1 woman as the implementation team of the 2023 Tenant Grant activities.
Administrative Requirements
- The pitch deck is a maximum of 10 slides with a format adjusted to each tenant’s corporate template and can use PPT, Prezi, Keynote, Canva, etc.
- Cooperation agreement document between UGM and tenants in terms of innovation development and downstreaming.
- Tenant capability form.
- Schedule for the implementation of monthly activities and RAB with an appropriate format.
